-- To my surprise, I won first place ^_^ I don't
know what possesed me to enter this contest, photomanipulation has never really
been my thing. Or so I thought. I figured it'd be really easy, and that I'd
be spending about 20 minutes just tweaking some stuff...but this took two days,
and that's not counting the time it took to draw the original dragonlings. A
note about the dragons, the one with no arms might look familiar to people who
have seen other piccis in my gallery. That is because I originally drew it for
the 'Divine Blue' picci. The other dragon is one
from a picture I'm still working on, and will be uploading as soon as I can
come up with a good enough bg. The book is fictional...erm, I mean I made it
up, there is no book called 'The Women of Wymnkind' ... and about the 'Wymnkind'
bit... yes, that was supposed to be 'Wyrmkind', as in dragons/wyrms. But when
I sleepilly typo'd Wymnkind I decided to keep it, because I liked the funny
sound of the words 'Women' and 'Wymn' together. I might tweak the bg some more
and make a print available of this image without all the book covery elements
if people like it.
