Comments:- My entry for Divine Blue's art contest
on Gaia. At the time I was really pleased with this, but only managed to bag
third place. In hindsight I can see why. Wow, those are some wierd boobs I've
drawn X_X Blues' character description was pretty simple so I spruced up the
costume design a bit with the silver bits and sash. The character description
said she had a blue glow/aura, so I added the blue glow, but when my boyfiend
saw it he said "Oh, so you've finally caved in and started using filters", and
I was like "What, but can't you see all the wavey bits?! That's not a glow filter,
it looks nothing like glow filter!" and he told me about 'Corona', a filter
which produces a very similar effect. If I'd known about it, then I'd have used
it rather than wasting forever on making the glow the old fashioned way with
airbrush>_< To top it off, the darned glow makes her look like she's floating
or something...grrr>_< + The dragon looks better at full size, shame I saved
the jpeg so small *sigh* but lucky the original file is huge, now I can make
a print out of it! Yay!
Spaint helped with some of the work on the bg, since I was short of time for the deadline, but it turned out I had quite a few hours to spare anyway. I wish I'd spent more time on it now.
